Over the last 15+ years I have been in the health and wellness arena. At just 18 years old I was diagnosed with cervical cancer and at 20 years old I was in a major car accident that left me bed bound for 6 months. These events were the pivotal turning points in my life towards wellness.
I had two choices: play the victim of my circumstances or take radical responsibility for my health and wellness. Needless to say I chose the latter. I wanted to break the cycle of addiction, obesity and trauma that was modeled for me my whole life!
For the last 15 years it has been my mission and passion to understand all levels of functional medicine to help HEAL myself and more importantly become the best functional medicine coach around.
With a background in personal training, holistic nutrition, NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), Somatic therapy treatment with Shamangelic Breathwork and now diving into becoming an integration coach for psilocybin patients, I feel highly equipped to support men and women in understanding the deeper levels of their trauma, unhealthy habits and behaviors around self-care. More importantly, how and where trauma is formed and stored in the body.
This year I made the decision to dive deeper into the power of psychedelic medicine and it’s healing properties. With all the recent studies of the science of psilocybin (take a look at John Hopkins and their Center for Psychedelic & Conscious Research as one example) and its use to relieve suffering and its healing abilities around trauma, I was ready to dive in!
First I did research into the leading psychopharmacologist Roland Griffiths and how he shares the ways that psychedelic drugs can be used to create spiritually meaningful, personally transformative experiences for all patients, especially the terminally ill. Check out his short video here.
With a recent study showing that about 90% of the people they performed a study on said that they had increased life satisfaction and positive behavioral change, including positive mood and better social relationships, I knew I had to have my own experience.
So I made the decision to do my first 3.5 gram mushroom journey on November 13, 2021 in Big Sur, CA.
I chose Kristi Rose, a psychedelic assisted therapist, to lead me in a safe, guided healing journey!
Now let me be very transparent, this isn’t for EVERYONE and it is highly recommended to learn and understand the medicine before even considering doing this!
My intention of my journey: Trust in LOVE
- Feeling and trusting that I can have a healthy, loving, supporting romantic partner
- Letting go of fear of depending on a man
- Continue to feel safe to communicate my needs and wants in a calm, clear, loving manor
- Co-Create a life with a partner and together we help the collective heal
